I first started sketching focusing on the word "camping" & "moon".
my priority was to create a simple, yet impactful logo design that would beautifully engrave on their products.
Design Goals:
- Create a cohesive brand identity that resonates with outdoor enthusiasts and camping novices alike
- Develop a visual language that communicates a sense of adventure
- Position Camping Moon as a modern and approachable brand
LOGO DESIGN
After exploring various concepts, I landed on a full moon with a tent inside as the new logo for Camping Moon. Here's why:
1. full moon represents the peak of outdoor adventure
2. the tent inside the moon creates a sense of coziness
3. the combination of the two creates a unique and memorable logo that is both simple and meaningful
4. logo is also clear to the brand name, Camping Moon.
Color Palettes
When it came to choosing the colors for Camping Moon, I wanted to select hues that would not only look amazing together but also capture the essence of the great outdoors. After some exploration, I landed on a bold and harmonious combination of black, orange, and green.
- Black represents stability, reliability, and the night sky, setting the tone for a sense of adventure and exploration.
- Orange symbolizes warmth, energy, and excitement, evoking the joy of gathering around the campfire and sharing stories.
- Green embodies nature, growth, and harmony, connecting the brand to the natural world and emphasizing a commitment to sustainability.
Together, these colors create a palette that's both visually striking and emotionally resonant. They provide high contrast for legibility, evoke the warmth and excitement of outdoor adventures, and connect us to the natural world.
Typography
I went with a bold font for Camping Moon because it feels adventurous, confident, and friendly. It's easy to read, even in the great outdoors, and it balances out the natural and vibrant elements of the brand. Plus, it's a nod to classic outdoor fonts with a modern twist. I think it's perfect for making a statement and inviting people to join the Camping Moon community.
